Thank you for considering the Malaysian Online Journal of Educational Technology (MOJET) as a venue for your scholarly work. Authors are encouraged to carefully review the journal's policies and submission guidelines before submitting their manuscripts.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the journal's formatting and style requirements. Submissions that do not comply with the journal's formatting requirements may be returned to the authors for technical revision before entering peer review.

Authors are strongly encouraged to prepare their manuscripts using the official MOJET manuscript template.

Authors may also consult recently published articles in MOJET for examples of formatting, style, structure, and presentation.

Submission Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should ensure that:

  • The manuscript falls within the aims and scope of the journal.

  • The submission is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration by another journal.

  • The manuscript has been anonymized by removing all author identifying information to ensure a double blind peer review process.

  • References, tables, figures, appendices, and supplementary materials comply with the journal's formatting requirements.

  • Ethical approval and informed consent statements are included where applicable.

  • Funding sources and conflicts of interest have been disclosed.

  • A Data Availability Statement has been included where appropriate.

  • Any use of artificial intelligence (AI) or AI assisted technologies has been transparently disclosed in accordance with the journal's AI Policy.

  • All authors have approved the submitted version of the manuscript and agree to its submission.

Manuscript Submission

All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system. Authors should upload all required files, including the anonymized manuscript, title page, and any supplementary materials requested during submission.

Incomplete submissions may be returned to the corresponding author before editorial evaluation.

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to evaluate their suitability for the journal. Manuscripts considered appropriate for review are then evaluated through a rigorous double blind peer review process by at least two independent reviewers.

Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, originality, methodological rigor, ethical integrity, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the journal's aims and scope.

To preserve the integrity, impartiality, and confidentiality of the peer review process, authors should not contact editors or reviewers through personal communication channels regarding manuscripts under evaluation.

Authors are expected to communicate professionally and respectfully throughout the editorial process. The Editorial Office reserves the right to discontinue correspondence or take appropriate editorial action in cases involving abusive, offensive, or inappropriate communication.

Publication Ethics

MOJET adheres to internationally recognized standards of publication ethics and research integrity. The journal follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

Authors are expected to comply with the journal's Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement and all applicable ethical requirements throughout the submission, review, and publication process.
